We apply each year for a grant from the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality to cover the cost of recycling. We ask that you make a small donation to help cover the cost of safely disposing of your electronics. For more information click HERE.

Office Paper
Please leave in the bin located between the Blaine and the American Legion. 153 Bordeaux St. It is important that the paper not be wet or dirty so please place it in a plastic bag. A complete list of what paper is accepted can be found |
Aluminum Cans-
Round Up Recycling is located at 100 Ridgeview Rd. Call 430-8093 for more information. They also recycle brass, copper, and car batteries. Cans can also be dropped in the blue SWANN Recycling Bins located in the Safeway and Walmart parking lots. Plastic Bags- KCB Bin at 153 Bordeaux. Inside entry way of Walmart and Safeway or donate (from smoke free homes) to the Public Library or the Natural Food Coop for reuse. |
Plastic #1 and #2
Drop these off in the blue SWANN Bins at Safeway and Walmart parking lots. (Don't know if it's a #1 or #2, check out our Education Page) Newspaper, Magazines, Telephone Books-Blue SWANN Bins at Safeway, Walmart parking lots. Ink Cartridges- KCB Office at 153 Bordeaux. Please feel free to place in a sack and leave at our door. |
Batteries-Radio Shack recycles some rechargeable batteries. Walmart recycles watch/hearing aid batteries at their jewelry counter. Car batteries can be recycled by SWANN, Levi's or Round Up Recycling.
Rechargable batteries from cell phones, tools and laptops go to our Electronics Recycling Event. |
Corrugated Cardboard
Please drop off corrugated cardboard in any of our bins around town or behind our office, 153 Bordeaux. Please be aware that things like cereal boxes and toilet paper tubes are NOT corrugated cardboard and are not excepted.
