Our Mission

Keep Chadron Beautiful is dedicated to promoting environmental stewardship, sustainable practices, and community pride through education, recycling, and beautification projects. We strive to enhance the vibrancy of our area, and engage residents in creating a cleaner, greener community.

Keep Chadron Beautiful was certified in 1984 as a Nebraska affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. We believe in education and empowerment.

Who We Are

Keep Chadron Beautiful is dedicated to educating and empowering our community with information regarding litter reduction, waste reduction, and the benefits of a sustainable lifestyle. Each year we host many clean up and beautification events. We promote recycling through our monthly recycling drop off event, cardboard and paper programs, as well as education programs through the schools and community organizations. We support local events to promote litter reduction and increase recycling through many hours of community service, especially during events such as Fur Trade Days, County Fair, and Bands of Bordeaux.

Keep America Beautiful

Keep America Beautiful is the nation's leading nonprofit. They focus on building and sustaining vibrant communities, through the actions of community members. Keep America Beautiful formed in 1953 when a group of corporate and civic leaders met in New York City to discuss a revolutionary idea — bringing the public and private sectors together to develop and promote a national cleanliness ethic. Today Keep America Beautiful sponsors many of the programs which Keep Chadron Beautiful participates in, including America Recycles Day, The Great American Clean Up, The Recycle Bowl, and Cigarette Litter Prevention Programs.
